Insperations

Rebecca Litchfield

Rebecca has inspired certain elements in my shoot I was mainly inspired by her Urbex shoots, it wasn't so much the fashion and models that gave me some ideas it was more the sets and the style of her photography such as this one:
This sort of set would be perfect for my shoots but it will be highly unlikely to find these sets with my budget being so low but what I could do is recreate these types of sets with props and the use of manipulation on photoshop. The way Litchfield uses HDR in her images may also be incorporated in my set of finals as well as the use of curves and lighting that I can use to create a spooky feel to them.

This image got me thinking about how much a bit of a change of colour contrast and exposure can change a beautiful image like this one of Rebeccas into a much darker sinister image.

This image by Litchfield is a brilliant example of use of light the light in this image obscures the angel like creatures facial features which automatically gives the image a spooky feel, also the costume design and set is particularly perfect for such a image. I think ill use a similar style of lighting to add some more atmosphere to my images.

My inspirations are largely film based as my shoot it going to hopefully look as if it is a film advertisement.

This image shows one of the large creature roles in Silent Hill Pyramid head .  The image shows good use of the rule of thirds and line where the rafters in the rusty wall behind the character which leads the viewers eye to the main subject (Pyramid Head).  The dark rusty colours of the wall behind Pyramid head makes his pale skin and light attire jump out making him the focus point.  The characters pose portrays power and domination as he wields his massive blade with easy shows his immense strength, also the corpse of his latest victim gives the view an idea of his gigantic proportion in comparison to a human being.
