Ideas 1
My first and strongest in my
opinion idea is based on a very generic movie style shoot, in this series there
will be 5 images each one representing a different room in a house. The 4
square images are going to be the first and second floor of the house and the 5th
will be a panoramic image of the roof. The images will be arranged to look like
a house that will be opened up as if the house has been cut through the middle
so the view can see what’s going on in side, in each room will reside a monster
of some sort in a environment that reflects the monster, this idea was inspired
by The Cabin in the Woods to a certain degree. The Characters will be based on
my depiction of well known monsters used in games, films and folk law, the line
up so far will be the Dark nurse inspired from the Silent hill movies, Slender
man inspired from folk law and the game, a psychopathic clown inspired by IT,
Demonic child, The Human Centipede, Ghost and many more as the possibility’s
are endless I will have to narrow them down at a later date.
The first right hand lower
square is where I will be introducing a narrative by adding some innocent
characters such as some teenage kids that have been dared like the start of
most generic horror movies to go in side the haunted abandoned house in the
middle of know where.
I will need professional minded
models to be able to capture the apprehensive, scared expressions that the
teenagers or teenager will be experiencing.
This narrative introduction will also give the viewer a chance to finish
the story off by imagination, will they get out? , Which door will they go in,
which creature will claim another victim and how?
This idea will take quite a bit
of preparation; money and time on the prop location and costume design but in
my opinion will create a very exciting set of photos.
I have again been looking at Rebecca
Litchfields fashion images taken in the Urbex scene; this is how I wish my
images to feel just instead of the beautiful model in fashionable attire I will
have demons monsters and ghosts.
Idea 2
I recently had an idea which appealed to me and am writing it in haste before it escapes me. The idea came to me while i was looking at national trust properties to use as sets for idea 1, as I browsed Google I came across the ghosts of Saltrum and wondered if any other localish properties had any other paranormal residents, as I searched I found out that most of the local properties have brilliant ghost stories attached to them, I found a large amount of detail and started to wonder If I could visit these houses and re-stage the sightings of some of these ghosts in such away that they narrate them selves. To achieve this I will need to approach the owners of each property and ask permission to do this, I will have to create or buy the clothing suitable to the characters occupation and era and do research into either the way they died or the way they died and the way they are apparently sighted now I was thinking I may do one image of the way they died and then another of where they haunt this is yet to be decided. I have found that in Saltrum house Plympton there has been sightings of a maind in a dark cloke whom was murdered there, iIn Landhydrock house there is sightings of an old woman dressed in period clothing as well as servants, children and priests, and Cotehele contains a young girl in a white dress who stands at the end of a bed.
